Clear requirements, streamlined workflows, and consistent expectations for survey-grade deliverables.

Our Commitment to Survey-Grade Standards

Aerotas is a proud supporter of the Professional Land Surveying and Civil Engineering community. Aerotas is proud to work with Drone Service Providers who support this community.

To be used as a legal land survey, projects must be performed under the responsible charge of a Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS/LS). This includes planning, supervision, and verification of ground control. Drone operators can collect imagery and point clouds, but a licensed surveyor must establish and/or verify control and direct the survey workflow for the deliverable to be represented as a survey.

Aerotas verifies the licensed land surveyor in responsible charge before processing data from a Drone Service Provider. This practice protects Aerotas, the DSP, and the surveyor who is responsible for sealing the survey.
